Were You Prescribed Xarelto?
We fight for patients’ rights
Xarelto is an oral anticoagulant treatment alternative to warfarin, a long-established safe treatment for preventing stroke and systemic embolism. Soon after its release, however, studies began to link Xarelto (also known as rivaroxaban) to a number of dangerous side effects.
If you’re a victim of a Xarelto-related injury, take back control. You have rights, and we can fight for them. Contact the Law Offices of Gary Martin Hays & Associates, P.C. What are serious side effects due to Xarelto?
Xarelto has been linked to a number of dangerous and potentially fatal side effects, including blood clots, brain hemorrhaging, internal bleeding and pulmonary embolisms. Additional side effects can include the following:
- Internal bleeding
- Rectal bleeding
- Vomiting blood
There is no antidote to the side effects of Xarelto. That means, in the event of complications, there is no available reversal agent. The original label for Xarelto did not contain a warning about the lack of an antidote. As a result, the Food and Drug Administration changed the Xarelto label to include a warning in March 2014.
What are symptoms of serious side effects of Xarelto?
Symptoms of dangerous side effects associated with Xarelto cover a wide range. Side effects can include headaches and dizziness, weakness and discolored (red or brown) urine.
