Stephanie Penland was born in Cleveland, OH, her family moving to Lawrenceville, GA when she was four-years-old.
After graduating from high school, she attended Gwinnett Technical College where she studied business management.
Stephanie said she’s always enjoyed helping people and being a personal injury case manager at Gary Martin Hays & Associates allows her to do so every day.
“I treat clients as my friend. I want to do everything possible to maximize the recovery for the client, medically and financially. Each day I’m collecting all the information necessary to keep the case moving smoothly and to have what the attorney needs readily available during each stage of the case,” she said.
As a personal injury case manager, Stephanie manages case details and collects and sorts information. She regularly requests reports and video or photo evidence from police departments, collects insurance policy information, assists clients with obtaining medical treatment and billing information, and drafts letters to providers and insurance companies.
Stephanie also supports the firm’s team of attorneys. “I continuously update the attorneys with case information, as well as being available to assist the attorney with urgent case needs,” she explained.
Each case is significant and unique in its own way, she said. Although her job isn’t glamorous, she loves every moment of it.
In the end, the clients are what make her job worth it. “I enjoy seeing my clients in person and having the opportunity to shake their hand or give them a hug,” said Stephanie.
Stephanie currently lives near Dacula and Bethlehem, a rural area with small farms just inside Gwinnett County. She enjoys arts and crafts, hiking, cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, and watching movies.
